Michigan City, IND. (March 30, 2026) – Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC, an industry leader in innovative compressed air solutions, announced its donated custom-designed Sullair 185 Tier 4 Final Portable Air Compressor raised $19,000 at the 2026 ARA Foundation Charity Auction. The winning bid was placed by A-1 Rental & Sales Inc. in Price, Utah.
This one-of-a-kind canopy design was created in support of Humane World for Animals, an organization chosen by Hitachi Global Air Power employees. Employees also contributed photos of pets and animals, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and cows, which were incorporated into the design.
The live auction was held at the ARA Industry Awards Dinner & ARA Foundation 50th Anniversary Celebration in Orlando, Florida on March 1. During the event, Hitachi Global Air Power was recognized for 50 years as an associate member of the American Rental Association (ARA), celebrated alongside the ARA Foundation’s 50th anniversary. In addition, Hitachi Global Air Power was granted the James Keenan Commemorative Award. The award is one of the Foundation’s highest honors and is presented to those who have made contributions totaling $25,000 or more in one-year or cumulative in a five-year period to the ARA Foundation.
“We’re honored to be recognized for our long-standing relationship with the American Rental Association,” said Hideki Fujimoto, President and CEO of Hitachi Global Air Power. “It’s a reflection of our commitment to the independent rental industry, and it inspires us to keep finding new ways to give back. Connecting our work with nonprofit organizations, like the ARA Foundation and Humane World for Animals this year, makes that impact even more meaningful. Congratulations to the auction winners of 2026.”
For the eighth time, Hitachi Global Air Power has donated a Sullair portable air compressor to the ARA Foundation Charity Auction. The event marks the fifth year the company has paired the donation to an outside charitable contribution, amplifying its impact beyond the auction itself. This year, Hitachi Global Air Power made a separate $10,000 donation to Humane World for Animals, formally known as the Humane Society of the United States.
To date, Hitachi Global Air Power’s contributions have raised over $174,000 for the ARA Foundation Charity Auction and an additional $50,000 for outside charities that inspired the designs of the donated compressors.
