Michigan City, IN (September 29, 2026) – Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC, an industry leader in innovative compressed air solutions, today announced that Nicole Pomeroy, Manufacturing Engineer, has been named the 2026 Overall Up & Coming Woman of the Year by the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA). The NWIIWA Influential Women Awards celebrate women leaders, organizations, and initiatives that are shaping the future of Northwest Indiana.
The award was presented at the 2026 Influential Women Awards banquet held September 24 in Merrillville, Indiana. Pomeroy was selected as the overall winner among the finalists in the Up & Coming category, which recognizes emerging female leaders making significant contributions to their organizations and industries.
Since joining Hitachi Global Air Power three years ago, Pomeroy has led a variety of strategic manufacturing initiatives, including projects to insource production processes and modernize manufacturing operations. Her efforts have helped strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and support the company's continued growth.

Earlier this year, Pomeroy and Jeanie Downs, Director of Environmental Health and Safety, were named finalists in the NWIIWA 2026 Influential Women Awards. Downs was recognized in the Influential Woman category for construction and manufacturing, while Pomeroy was selected as a finalist in the Up & Coming category before earning the overall award.
