Michigan City, IN (June 18, 2026) – Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC, an industry leader in innovative compressed air solutions, hosted U.S. Representative Frank J. Mrvan (IN-01) at the Hitachi Global Air Power facility in Michigan City for a tour focused on advanced manufacturing, workforce development, and community investment. He was joined by Michigan City Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch and representatives from the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce.
During the visit, Rep. Mrvan engaged with leadership and employees to learn more about Hitachi Global Air Power’s operations and its ongoing investments in the Michigan City facility, which continue to reinforce the company’s position as a cornerstone employer in Northwest Indiana.

Hitachi Global Air Power has made significant upgrades to its Michigan City operations in recent years, enhancing production capabilities while prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainable practices. These include a $30 million capital investment in the construction of a new 80,000-square-foot fabrication shop, a canopied storage building, an additional parking lot for employees, and optimization of the previous footprint.
