Michigan City, IN (July 14, 2026) – Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC, an industry leader in innovative compressed air solutions, today announced two of its team members have been named finalists in the construction and manufacturing sector for the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association’s (NWIIWA) 2026 Influential Women Awards.
The Influential Women Awards celebrate the women, leaders, companies, and stories shaping Northwest Indiana. This is the 15th year NWIIWA has held these awards.
Jeanie Downs, Director of Environmental Health and Safety, is a finalist in the “Influential Woman” category. In a career spanning three decades, Downs has built and sustained a world-class safety program for Hitachi Global Air Power’s Michigan City headquarters, as well as for Hitachi Air Centers (sales and service locations) across the United States.
Nicole Pomeroy, Manufacturing Engineer, is a finalist in the “Up & Coming” category. Since joining the organization three years ago, Pomeroy has managed major projects to insource and upgrade manufacturing processes, helping increase Hitachi Global Air Power’s domestic production capabilities.
