The EU Data Act (EUDA), officially titled “Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 December 2023”, takes effect on September 12, 2025. This regulation introduces a new framework governing the access to and use of data generated by connected products[1] and related services offered within the EU market[2]. Designed to foster a more equitable and efficient data economy, the EUDA establishes clear rules regarding who may access such data, under what conditions, and which types of data are subject to these provisions—particularly those originating from connected products.
