The article, titled “Exploring the Total Cost of Ownership of Oil-Injected vs. Oil-Free Compressed Air Systems,” discusses some end-users’ reluctance to transition from oil-injected to oil free air compression technology. Mann discusses why oil free compression technology is perceived to be less economical to own and operate than oil-injected technology and whether that is true or not. As Mann discusses, one must consider the total cost of ownership.
